About us

Michael Robers, MD, is a neurologist in the Multiple Sclerosis Program and an assistant professor in the Department of Neurology at Barrow Neurological Institute. He is board certified in neurology by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.

Dr. Robers’ expertise includes the diagnosis, treatment, and long-term multi-specialty care of individuals with autoimmune disorders of the central nervous system. His training and clinical experience include working in multiple subspecialty clinics dedicated to multiple sclerosis and neuromyelitis optica spectrum disorder. He also sees patients with neurosarcoidosis, autoimmune or paraneoplastic encephalitis, central nervous system vasculitis, and other rare neuroinflammatory disorders. He is a member of the American Academy of Neurology, the American Medical Association, and the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.

Dr. Robers earned his medical degree from Loyola University Chicago Stritch School of Medicine and a master’s degree in clinical, biomedical, and translational investigations from the University of Southern California in Los Angeles. He completed his neurology residency at Barrow Neurological Institute and a fellowship in multiple sclerosis and neuro-immunology at the University of Southern California Keck School of Medicine.

Dr. Robers is involved in the recruitment and management of multiple clinical trials related to neuroimmunology. His personal research interests include health care disparities within the field of multiple sclerosis and co-morbidities in patients with neuroimmunological disorders.
