Mighty Maids in Benton Harbor is a very poor choice and very unprofessional.

I purchased a Groupon for their cleaning service. I bought 6 hours of cleaning and they split it over 2 visits. That part was nice since some Groupons must be used on a single instance. The first cleaning could be rated as adequate, nothing more. Dust was left on surfaces and no bathtubs or showers were touched. I would ve rather they spent all 6 hours doing a very thorough cleaning than 2 separate half hearted jobs. The second cleaning was less than satisfactory but was finished before I returned home.

The worst part would be the manager constantly trying to guilt you into giving them a really good tip. I completely agree that you tip according to original value of the service but I m not going to tip excessively because someone made the choice to offer their employees service at a discount rate. She even made mention of having to take a technician away from his better paying corporate cleaning job to come do our house. They were hired to do a job. If domestic cleaning doesn t pay the bills, don t provide the service. I dont appreciate telling me (many times during a 2 minute conversation) what sort of tip is required when it is a bonus that should be based on performance.

In short, adequate cleaning value if gotten at the discount price but definitely of worth full price. I ve since found much more professional service for the amount of money.
