About us
From a young age Dr. Mina Owlia knew she wanted to be a physician. She was drawn to the field of noninvasive cardiology because it enables her to help patients with a full spectrum of cardiovascular issues. Her clinical expertise includes the management of complex coronary artery disease, heart failure, valvular disease and preventive cardiology.
At Stamford Health, Dr. Owlia is involved in noninvasive cardiology patient care and cardiovascular imaging techniques including nuclear perfusion, vascular ultrasound and echocardiography. She performs 3D transesophageal echocardiography (TEE) and transthoracic echocardiography (TTE) for structural heart disease and valve procedures such as transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR) and Watchman (left atrial appendage closure for atrial fibrillation).
Dr. Owlia enjoys helping her patients learn how to minimize their heart disease risk and improve their quality of life by adopting healthy lifestyle habits. One of her top initiatives is to raise awareness of women’s cardiology issues in the community.
