About us

Both my parents are healthcare professionals, so medicine is in my DNA. I've always loved helping people and volunteering in my community. As soon as I was old enough, I became a candy striper at the local hospital in my hometown of Jackson, Mississippi. \n I pursued a career as a physician to build relationships with the patients who trust me with their care, to help build a healthier community that I am connected to and serve and to solve a variety of issues for my patients. \n The patient/doctor relationship is a partnership built on trust. I'm here to educate and guide - not to dictate. I am honest, compassionate and pride myself on keeping current on the latest trends and breakthroughs in medicine. Patients count on me to help them find the best path for their optimal health. They appreciate that I value them as people and don't just see them as a disease or set of symptoms. \n I enjoy being a leader in my work and civic lives. I'm lead clinician for Novant Health Union Cross Family Medicine and also serve as first vice chair for the Kernersville Chamber of Commerce. \n My college sweetheart and I have been married for more than 25 years and consider our two grown children - a son and daughter - to be our greatest assets. I love musicals, movies and travel, and - outside caring for patients - fashion is my biggest passion.
