Welcome To Our PracticeMaria Lufrano, MD, is a specialist in the field of gastroenterology and hepatology. At her practice – ML Gastroenterology in Bronxville, New York – she treats disorders of the digestive system, including gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), colitis, functional disorders of the gut, and liver disease on a daily basis. Dr. Lufrano grew up in Westchester County and graduated from New York University with a Bachelor of Arts in journalism as well a minor in biology and chemistry. She then pursued a Master in Science from New York Medical College in biochemistry and molecular biology. During her post-graduate training, she focused on breast cancer research.
