Moat Title Security is a new and innovative company that places a Notice of Title Freeze, a unique, copyrighted legal document in the public records to effectively freeze property title from fraudulent recordings and protect property owners from title fraud. Title fraud begins in the public records where fraudsters search for properties to attack. Moat Title Security takes a more proactive approach than the title monitoring services by placing a Notice of Title Freeze on the owner’s property in the public records which deters fraud and prohibits recordings against the owner’s title without their express recorded consent. Moat’s Notice of Title Freeze is similar to a credit freeze that protects a consumer against consumer fraud.
