I am a registered and licensed dietitian with a Master’s degree in Nutrition from Texas Woman’s University where I also completed my dietetic internship. I have a variety of experience working with people of all ages from newborns in the NICU to older adults. My internship provided me with the opportunity to work with people who have been diagnosed with diabetes, heart disease, renal disease, liver disease, GI disorders, respiratory failure, cancer, eating disorders, HIV/AIDS, and malnutrition.
I believe that nutrition is an important part of everyone’s life and that it should be discussed without judgement. Every person is an individual and deserves to be treated as such especially when it comes to creating lifestyle changes to achieve their health goals. I want to be able to bring a happy, healthy relationship with food to all of my clients by encouraging them to include all foods in moderation.
When I have free time, I like to bake and make alterations to the recipes to make them healthier (and hopefully tastier). I also like to read, not only to stay on top of the current research and trends in the field, but also for my own enjoyment. I also enjoy going to the park for some exercise and hope to have a dog one day that I can take with me!
