About us
Dr Cotter grew up in the Detroit area, and received his BS, MD, and PhD at the University of Michigan. He completed his dermatology residency at the University of Utah and completed a fellowship in Mohs surgery and cosmetic dermatology at the University of California at San Francisco. Dr Cotter is board-certified by the American Board of Dermatology and a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology, American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, and American College of Mohs Surgery. He's authored scientific publications, textbook chapters, and holds a US patent. He serves Advanced Dermatology as Associate Medical Director and as part of its MEC. Dr Cotter enjoys time with his wife and stepsons, cycling, skiing, travelling, and reading.
