About us
Naktal S. Hamoud, MD, is a board-certified and fellowship-trained specialist providing care for adult patients with cardiovascular disease and heart rhythm problems. He specializes in clinical cardiac electrophysiology and treats patients for complex cardiac arrhythmias. His clinical interests include catheter ablation of complex cardiac arrhythmias, including atrial fibrillation, ventricular tachycardia, and supraventricular tachycardia (STV), as well as implantation and follow-up of cardiac device therapy, including conventional and leadless pacemakers and implantable cardioverter defibrillators. He’s thorough and strongly believes in tailoring treatment based on each individual patient. He’s a good listener, personable, encouraging, professional, efficient, and knowledgeable.
He’s also an assistant professor at McGovern Medical School at UTHealth Houston.
Hamoud completed medical school in 2002 at the University of Baghdad College of Medicine. In 2012, he completed his residency at the University of Arizona College of Medicine. He then completed two fellowships, first at the University of Arizona College of Medicine (2016) and then at the Mayo Clinic – Phoenix (2018).
Hamoud is a member of the American Heart Association, the American College of Cardiology, and the Heart Rhythm Society.
