These programs promotes academic readiness by helping children through their social and cognitive development by employing educational, health, nutritional, social, and other services. Early Head Start is for children 6 weeks to 3 years old. Head Start requires children to be 3 prior to August 31st/September 1st of the academic year but a maximum of 5 years old.
