About us

At Napa Vineyard Sheep Grazing, we believe in the power of nature to help create the best wine in the Napa Valley. We are integrating viticulture with livestock and growing soil by feeding microbes. That's why we are encouraging vineyards to use our our wooly weed eating sheep. In the scientific process of making wine, we help reduce emissions and polution from mowers and add biomes to the soil, help the water and reduce your costs by using sheep to eat your weeds. Our sheep and goats also help with fuel reduction and fire prevention by eating back the foilage and helping you to maintain a safe space on yoru property in Napa County or Sonoma County. Owner, Chris Maschauer, has been working with vineyards for over 12 yearsand has created an art in combining viticulture and livestock.
