Nathan Wanner, MD, is an Associate Professor within the Division of General Internal Medicine and the Department of Internal Medicine at the University Hospital. He is the Director of the University of Utah Hospitalist Group and is also the Medical Director of the University of Utah Palliative Care Service. As a Hospitalist, he enjoys taking care of hospitalized patients with a variety of acute medical problems. His specific clinical interests include palliative care, inpatient pain management, and thromboembolic (clotting) disorders. Dr. Wanner received his MD from Indiana University School of Medicine. He received training in Internal Medicine from the University of Utah where he received the William D. Odell Award as the Outstanding Senior Resident and also served as Chief Medical Resident. Dr. Wanner is also certified in Hospice and Palliative Medicine.
