About us

Nicholas M. Beckmann, MD, is a board-certified and fellowship-trained diagnostic radiologist who enjoys all aspects of musculoskeletal imaging, particularly sports, trauma, and oncology imaging and image-guided musculoskeletal therapeutic injections. 
He’s a professor of radiology and head of the musculoskeletal section in the Department of Diagnostic and Interventional Imaging at McGovern Medical School at UTHealth Houston, and the program director for the medical school’s Sports, Orthopedic and Emergency Imaging Fellowship Program. He is also the director of radiology for the Memorial Hermann | Rockets Orthopedic Hospital.      
Beckmann grew up on a farm in north-central Kansas. He completed medical school at the University of Kansas School of Medicine in Kansas City. He moved to Houston for radiology residency and fellowship training at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston.
