About us
Nicola Pemberton, MD, FACOG, is a board-certified obstetrician and gynecologist and the medical director of The Birth Center of New Jersey in West Union, New Jersey. A recognized leader in women’s health, Dr. Pemberton is passionate about helping women experience safe, empowering, and minimally invasive births.
Featured in The New York Times and a Netflix documentary about childbirth, Dr. Pemberton is celebrated for her compassionate approach and tireless service—especially during the pandemic, when she safely delivered hundreds of babies and became a local hero to many.
Dr. Pemberton earned her undergraduate degree in biology from the University of Miami and her medical degree from St. George’s University School of Medicine in Grenada.
