About us
Nicole Guanco-Murphy was born and raised in the Hartford area. Growing up in a medical household, she had always wanted to pursue the medical field. Currently, she has over 12 years of experience in primary care, subacute rehabilitation, and long-term care. She graduated from Fordham University in the Bronx with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology. Soon after, she pursued her love for helping people and science by obtaining a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Fairfield University.
After gaining a solid foundation of experience as a bedside nurse on the medical/surgical unit and float pool at Stamford Health, she furthered her career with a Master of Science in Nursing in the family practitioner track at Fairfield University. She has had the pleasure and joy of interacting with patients and families in a range of settings all over Fairfield County.
Nicole Guanco-Murphy's interests are in preventative medicine as well as management of acute and chronic illnesses from pediatrics to geriatrics. Being empathetic to the needs of the patients she encounters has been crucial in her professional experience and has allowed her to provide the best care for those she meets. She recognizes that providing treatment options for the specific individual varies greatly and determining that plan of care yields the best outcomes.
In 2019, she made her home in Fairfield, where she resides with her husband, two daughters, and two rescue dogs named Jasmine and Bingo. When she is not working, she is often around town with kids in tow or walking her dogs at the park or Lake Mohegan. Her other passions include freelance voiceover work, volunteering at the school library, growing her plant collection, or trying new restaurants in town.
