About us

Old Dominion Investment & Retirement Advisors was established by Donald L. Unger in the Richmond area in early 1991. Mr. Unger started in the financial industry in 1981, when the Dow was only at 800(!!). While working at E.F. Hutton, Mr. Unger earned his Masters Degree in Financial Services and was a member of their National Financial Planning Council. Mr. Unger has earned the Accredited Investment Fiduciary (AIF) designation and is licensed as an Investment Advisor Representative of Voya Financial Advisors. The idea behind the formation of ODIRA was simple. At ODIRA we believe that having a Financial Plan can be a powerful tool.
