As a premier provider of oral and maxillofacial surgery to Albuquerque, NM, and the surrounding communities, Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Associates of NM proudly welcomes you to our practice. Our board-certified oral and maxillofacial surgeons Lionel M Candelaria DDS, FACS, and John Mitchell DDS offer a complete range of mouth, teeth, and facial region expertise.

Active and innovative, our doctors are involved in many aspects of the Albuquerque community and repeatedly seek to improve their practices through continued education, advanced technology upgrades, and safety training. We are affiliated with the local hospitals, and Dr. Mitchell and Dr. Candelaria—the only Fellow in the American College of Surgery in New Mexico—offer a cleft palate program through our practice.

To provide an extra measure of comfort, confidence, and safety for our patients, we require our staff members to regularly attend emergency training and anesthesia safety courses. Our entire team is trained and certified in ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) and PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support), and as specialists in deep sedation general anesthesia, our anesthesia team is made up of University of New Mexico certified registered nurses and board-certified anesthesiologists.
