We believe

We are saved by the grace of God alone — not by anything we do;

Our salvation is through faith alone — we only need to believe that our sins are forgiven for Christ’s sake, who died to redeem us;

The Bible is the only norm of doctrine and life — the only true standard by which teachings and doctrines are to be judged.

We confess the Nicene and Apostles’ Creeds and give thanks for the real presence of Christ in the Lord’s Supper. We believe that Jesus Christ is the Word of God incarnate, through whom everything was made and through whose life, death, and resurrection God fashions a new creation.

What do we believe about God?

God is the one and only God; God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.

God is the creator and giver of life.

God saves us through His gift of grace.

What do we believe about Jesus?

Jesus is God’s only Son.

Jesus died for us. He is our Savior.

Jesus became one of us and was fully human.

Jesus is risen. He rose from the dead.

What do we believe about the Holy Spirit?

The Spirit is always present with us.

The Spirit is Christ’s gift to us.

The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of Christ, the Spirit of God among us.

What do we believe about the Bible?

The Bible is God’s inspired word.

We need to read, study, and hear God’s word throughout our lives.

We need help to interpret and understand God’s word. “For where two or three come together in my name, there am I with them,” Matthew 18:20 (NIV).

What we believe about the church?

The church is to make disciples.

The church is to teach love, forgiveness and acceptance.

The church is to be the body of Christ in the world and in the lives of others.

The church is to proclaim the Good News of the Kingdom.

The church is to worship, serve and celebrate what God has done for us in Christ Jesus.

The church is to hear and study God’s Word.
