Panguitch is the Paiute word for "big fish," and plenty of trout prowl Panguitch Lake, 17 miles south of this high desert campground, in the state's southwest corner. Cedar Breaks National Monument is 15 miles beyond the lake. Natural wonders abound in this region, including Bryce Canyon, Capitol Reef and Zion national parks. J
