About us
Located in the former Michigan Oriental Theater serving exciting shareables in an iconic, historically-rich and high energy atmosphere. PAO is located in the former Michigan Oriental Theater, a space so rich in cultural history, we decided to preserve Detroit’s memories as part of our dining experience. Since 1950, the space sat unoccupied. Today, we reintroduce PAO the restaurant in the heart of Grand Circus Park. The flavors of PAO draw upon Pan-Asian influences, a collaboration of efforts by Chef Howie Barnes, Chef Alex Farhat and the PAO culinary team. Our drink menu offers approachable, yet rare Asian spirits to be enjoyed as classic favorites. Stop in to sip your favorite handcrafted cocktails or share a meal with friends.
