For more than 48 years Dr. Lewis Berman, a leader in the field of veterinary medicine, and his staff have been helping people take care of their pets by providing the finest, most comprehensive animal health care services available. As one of the best equipped veterinary facilities in New York, with a large, expertly trained staff and state-of-the-art equipment, the true difference at Park East Animal Hospital remains the understanding and compassion shown at every level of treatment and support for our clients and their pets. The entire staff at recognizes the importance of the human companion animal bond and we continue to meet our clients’ high standards year after year. Along with Dr. Berman, our six staff veterinarians work as a team to provide the highest quality treatment for all of our patients, sharing the individual expertise of the full group of veterinarians on staff as well as consulting with specialists whenever necessary. We maintain a technician on duty 24 hours a day to provide around-the-clock nursing care and there is a doctor on call for after-hours emergency situations. Park East, an AAHA certified hospital, is designed to provide pets with superior medical attention in a comforting environment, including private examination rooms, an x-ray room, an intensive care unit, comfortable and roomy stainless steel kennels, and an exercise garden. We offer a comprehensive range of hospital services including dentistry, elective and major surgery, digital radiography, dermatology, endoscopy, ultrasonography, and preventative medicine. In addition Park East also provides clients with the convenience of house calls, pet pick up and drop off, microchip placement and scanning, international travel documents, and prescription diet food deliveries.
