Parkville Animal Hospital Logo In addition to feline boarding, did you know we offer canine boarding services? Did you know we offer dental services?

Periodontal disease erodes the supporting structures of the mouth, which is very painful. In this process, harmful bacteria is created, and can spread through your dog or cat’s bloodstream to their internal organs, causing serious health issues later in life. This is why it is so important to have a veterinary team that helps you with regular cleanings, other advanced dental work when necessary, and can educate you on proper at-home care. We also check for dental disease during our physical exams, which is about much more than just bad breath - but your pet’s complete overall health! Oral bacteria puts pets at risk for painful teeth and gums, and more serious issues like organ damage. And this adorable feline was just PURRfect for his dental exam! Dr. Morganthall, better known as Dr. Jess, is performing a full physical exam on one of her adorable feline patients. Here, she's checking the eyes for any unusual coloration, discharge, proper light response, and more. At Parkville Animal Hospital, our technicians are trained to hold our patients for exams so that pet's feel as safe and comfortable as possible. Our staff ensures the safety of every patient they see, and a comforting hug goes a long way! This sweet girl is being prepped for her dental surgery. More than half of the teeth are below the gum line, so it's not surprising that most dental disease is found below the gum line too! To make up for what cannot be seen during a visual exam, we've invested in dental x-ray technology.
