About us
Dr. McCallum specializes in sports medicine and the treatment of elite and recreational athletes. He also has expertise in joint replacement surgery. Dr. McCallum has been involved in team coverage at both the collegiate and high school levels for over 25 years and currently assists in orthopaedic coverage of Clemson athletics and is team orthopaedic surgeon for Clemson baseball. Dr. McCallum enjoys treating throwing shoulder and elbow injuries, as well as complex knee injuries. He also has extensive experience in joint replacement of the knee and shoulder. He is a graduate of Furman University. Originally from Tampa, Florida, Dr. McCallum finished medical school at the University of Florida College Of Medicine. He then completed residency in orthopaedic surgery at Loyola University Medical Center in Chicago, IL. He then gained further training by completing a fellowship in sports medicine and advanced arthroscopy at the American Sports Medicine Institute in Birmingham, Al. He, his wife, and their four children enjoy the outdoors in the upstate and spending time together.
