About us
Dr. Peter T. Wilbanks is an ob-gyn doctor at the Short Pump location of Virginia Women's Center. Dr. Wilbanks has spent the entirety of his medical career practicing with Virginia Women’s Center. For over two decades, he was a leader in obstetrical care, navigating many women through high-risk pregnancies, and in gynecologic care, where he emphasized conservative treatments and minimally invasive surgical options. After a bike injury in 2014, he retired from the practice of obstetrics and now focuses his practice on non-surgical gynecology and health and wellness. His clinical interests include Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS), uterine fibroids, metabolic syndrome and the management of menopausal symptoms and mood disorders.
