Philadelphia Alliance for Capital and Technologies (PACT)
About us
PACT (Philadelphia Alliance for Capital and Technologies) was formed on April 1, 2010 from the merger of two longstanding Philadelphia non-profit organizations - the Eastern Technology Council and the MAC Alliance - started in the 1980s to support high-growth entrepreneurial activity in the region. Through PACT, we continue and expand this work by bringing together the entrepreneurial, business, investment, and higher education communities to grow and strengthen technology and life sciences-based entrepreneurship. As a membership-based organization, PACT serves close to 400 organizational members and their thousands of founders and employees. PACT supports its members through connections to capital, customers, and talent. These connections stem from both custom connections based on the specific needs of individual members as well as through PACT’s intentionally designed programs and events. Additionally, PACT works collaboratively with local, regional, and national organizations to support members' needs and PACT initiatives. For example, PACT’s Mentor Connect program supports talent development and entrepreneurial growth. Since its existence, we have supported over 200 mentee founder CEOs by providing thousands of hours of mentorship from teams of successful and experienced founders who volunteer as mentors. The PACT Apprenti PHL program will help large enterprises to emerging growth companies develop a richer, more diverse pipeline of entry-level workers (primarily from underrepresented backgrounds) through tech and life sciences apprenticeships.
