About us
Stefanie Thayer is a licensed professional counselor, providing virtual therapy to all Texas residents. She works with children ages 3+, as well as with adults. Stefanie founded Playful Hearts Counseling Center with the desire to assist those who may be struggling with any kind of trauma and daily stressors, through the power of play and connection.
Stefanie received her Master degree in 2018, and went on to gain experience working with adult trauma survivors. She currently works as a therapist at her local child advocacy center. There she gained experience with numerous trauma-focused assessment and therapy modalities, as well as training in play therapy.
