About us
Dr. Porter received her Bachelor of Science in 1990 from Coe College in Cedar Rapids, Iowa with a degree in Nursing. Dr. Porter worked as a registered nurse and a clinical research assistant before returning to school to receive her Doctor of Medicine in 1997 from the University of Iowa College of Medicine. She then went on to complete her internship at Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota in 1998, followed by her residency training in Ophthalmology at the University of Washington College of Medicine. Dr. Porter is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery.
