About us

Welcome to Premier Physical Therapy! Premier Physical Therapy Services in Cincinnati (formerly Orthopaedic Physical Therapy and Associates) exists to provide an improved quality of life for people with multiple orthopedic and neurological injuries through intense one-on-one individualized exercise-based recovery programs, education, support, and encouragement. Our highly skilled and knowledgeable physical therapists provide fast and effective treatment for many conditions to help you experience less pain, move better, and improve your quality of life. A physicians referral or prescription is NOT Required for our physical therapy services. Ohio is a direct access state. Sports Injuries / Orthopedics: Orthopedic physical therapy included treatment of the musculoskeletal system (which is made up of the muscles and bones of your body) that has been subject to injury or trauma. This includes sprains, strains, post fracture, post surgery and repetitive injuries. The areas of the body include the neck and back as well as the extremities. With exercise, strengthening, stretching, and many other PT techniques, you can decrease joint strain, increase body strength and health, and reach your goal of returning to your sport, your hobbies, or your everyday routines. Neurological: Physical therapy is extremely important for patients who have had or who currently have neurological diseases or injuries. The brain and spinal cord control movement and sensation. Injuries to the brain or spinal cord can cause death of the cells that control certain movements and sensations, and therefore you lose function. Without physical therapy following a neurologic injury, patients may lose many functions and not be able to perform certain activities. Decreased activity leads to many other health problems such as heart problems, lung problems, diabetes, decreased independence, and an overall poor quality of life. Pediatrics: Premier Physical Therapy is dedicated and focused on evaluating and providing treatment for children who have many types of physical and motor impairments that interfere with daily living and functioning. Our therapists understand child development and how motor skills are acquired. Therefore, we offer the opportunity for children to learn or regain skills required for them to attain appropriate developmental milestones such as rolling, crawling, sitting, walking, and running, in addition to reaching proficiency with higher level coordination activities such as galloping, skipping, riding a tricycle/bicycle, balance training, and ball skills. Therapy is provided in an inviting setting for children, with pediatric equipment and age-appropriate toys available for use during sessions. Your child will not have to wait weeks or months to be seen at Premier Physical Therapy. Each day you wait is a day your child is not moving towards their independence. Myofascial Release: Myofascial Release, developed by John F. Barns, PT, is a gentle therapy based from both massage work and gentle stretching designed to warm and loosen the muscles. Through trauma, poor posture or repetitive motion, restriction can form in the fascia, causing pressure on nerves, blood vessels, muscles, joints and organs. By applying a static, sustained pressure to stretch and work the fascia, the therapist will release tension from the fibrous bands of the muscles, bones, nerves, joints to release any scar tissue or tension due to injury in the muscles and surrounding tissues.
