About us
The procedure is performed to evaluate the blood flow to your extremities. Common symptoms of peripheral vascular disease include leg pain when walking, leg fatigue or heaviness, or non-healing wounds on the feet.A small tube is inserted into your artery and contrast is injected to visualize the vessels using x-ray. In this manner, blockages are identified.Other catheters can be used to open the blockages and improve blood flow. This can include angioplasty with balloon catheters, placing a stent, or removing the plaque with atherectomy.
