Providence uniquely supports each patient - particularly those with incurable, progressive illnesses - and their loved ones, while assuring comfort and providing curative treatment. Specializing in the relief of pain, symptoms and stress of serious illness, palliative care is appropriate at any point during an illness and can help with pain that is out of control or not responding to prescribed treatment, severe nausea or vomiting, shortness of breath, and psychological distress, including anxiety, agitation, emotional or spiritual anguish.
