Anticoagulant medications, or blood thinners, help keep your blood flowing smoothly. They work to manage clotting after a heart attack or other illness. If you take anticoagulants, you’ll require close monitoring to avoid serious complications such as bleeding or stroke.
The pharmacists at Providence Holy Family Anticoagulation Clinics manage therapies that include warfarin (Coumadin®) and many newer oral or injectable anticoagulant drugs. We work with your doctor to provide lab testing, medication prescription and management and more at convenient outpatient clinics. Throughout your care, your health and safety are our top priority.
