River Road Veterinary Hospital (RRVH) is a 6000 sq ft veterinary facility privately owned and operated by Andover residents, Dr. Tracie (Rundle) Fountas and Dr. George Fountas. With over twenty-two years of combined veterinary experience at several large multi doctor practices, Drs. Fountas brought a combination of the best aspects from each of these, added their own unique touch and founded RRVH. By providing a relaxing and friendly atmosphere, we hope to form a lifelong relationship with you, your pet, and our experienced and caring veterinary team. Services We Provide: In addition to the traditional services offered at most veterinary hospitals, we offer some that set us apart. Our wide range of veterinary services will keep your companions feeling their best. Comprehensive Physical Exams: We recommend bi-annual exams and preventive care to help detect and treat health problems early. In addition to cardiovascular, respiratory, oral, musculoskeletal, abdominal, coat and skin examinations, our comprehensive exam/consultation also include routine otic and ophthalmic evaluations. Diagnostic Services: Our in-house laboratory capabilities include serum chemistry, hematology, serology, urinalysis and parasite testing. We also utilize commercial laboratories for specialized diagnostics and consultations. Cytology and biopsy samples are submitted to specialists (pathologists) for review. Surgical Services: The doctors at RRVH perform a wide variety of soft tissue surgeries and have a board certified surgeon available for specialized surgeries. Our modern surgical suite is equipped with the latest in veterinary monitoring systems including ECG, oxygen saturation, temperature, heart rate and blood pressure. Anesthesia: Every patient is different and therefore an individualized anesthetic and pain management plan is determined for each pet undergoing surgery. Blood screening is always performed before a patient is anesthetized. Specialized Imaging Services: Our facility is equipped with the latest digital x-ray technology which eliminates the need for film and developing chemicals. This results in a more environmentally friendly process. Ultrasounds are performed by a board certified cardiologist. Dentistry: Healthy teeth and gums are essential to your pet’s quality of life. Dental services include: ultrasonic teeth cleaning, polishing, tooth extractions and minor oral surgery. Behavioral Counseling: We can provide advice regarding the correction of problems such as leash pulling, chewing, spraying, scratching, digging, house soiling and separation anxiety. Exotic Pets: We understand how important your exotic pet is to you. The treatment options available for your cat and dog are also available for your exotic pet. Retail Boutique: Drs. Fountas have a Weimaraner named Gus (nicknamed Gustopher) who after many years of living the vet dog's life finally has his own boutique ...Gustopher's. Over the years his brother and sister have tested many toys, diets and grooming supplies and have decided on their favorites. To these we have added other pet accessories ranging from training aids to greeting cards with a focus on eco-friendly toys and pet beds.
