Rivertown Acupuncture is a health and wellness business that relies upon several styles of acupuncture, the use of massage, breath work, and dietary and nutritional counseling to create a treatment designed to enhance health and alleviate pain. Acupuncture is like Braille for your body: by turning on a group of points in a specific order we are able to implement a process of change that results in greater health, harmony and feelings of well-being.

At Rivertown Acupuncture you may experience one or a combination of several styles, depending upon your diagnosis and preferences, including Japanese, Traditional and Classical Chinese, and American Physical Acupuncture (APM). The use of cupping, guasha, pressure points and elements of tuina massage may also be employed. Japanese style is typified by abdominal palpation, shallow needle and a variety of tools including magnets, diode chains and rings. APM is often the style chosen to address muscular pain, acute and chronic injuries, and repetitive stress disorders. Trigger Point Therapy is a method of needling that targets specific muscles and muscle groups that can cause a variety of ailments, such as pain like that of sciatica, plantar fasciitis, carpal tunnel, rotator cuff tear and frozen shoulder.

Rivertown Acupuncture occupies a beautiful space next to the aqueduct of Dobbs Ferry. Parking is easily accessible, and within walking distance to the train station on the Metro-North Railroad line.
