About us
I chose to become a physician because I was deeply motivated by the opportunity to combine science with service—to apply cutting-edge knowledge to improve the lives of individuals facing serious illness. Early in my training, I was particularly drawn to oncology because of the complexity of cancer biology and the opportunity to develop long-term, meaningful relationships with patients during some of the most difficult periods of their lives. As a head and neck surgical oncologist, I’ve found purpose in restoring not just health, but also function and identity, which are central to a person’s quality of life. The field of cancer care continues to evolve rapidly, and being a part of that transformation—both in the clinic and in research—has been incredibly fulfilling. My philosophy of care is rooted in precision, compassion, and collaboration. Every patient’s cancer journey is unique, and our role as providers is to offer the most effective, individualized care grounded in the latest scientific evidence. At the same time, we must never lose sight of the human experience of illness—the emotional, psychological, and social challenges patients face. I believe in a multidisciplinary, team-based approach where we integrate research, clinical innovation, and supportive care to address the whole patient.
