About us
Robert Martin, MD, FAAFP, is board-certified in family medicine and sports medicine, with additional training in medical acupuncture. He believes in educating and partnering with patients so they can make informed choices and become healthier versions of themselves. Dr Martin earned his medical degree from the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences in Bethesda, Maryland. He served as a physician in the U.S. Navy for 26 years and retired at the rank of captain. During that time, he spent 10 years training family practice residents in sports medicine at NAS Jacksonville. After retiring from the Navy, he continued his work in education as a sports medicine fellowship program director from 2019 to 2022.
