About us

Roger H. Gower, MD, is a native of Greenville, South Carolina, and has been with Greenville OB/GYN Associates since 1982. He received his undergraduate education at Emory University in Atlanta and his medical degree from the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston. He completed an internship in internal medicine at University Hospital in Jacksonville, Florida, and then returned to the Medical University of South Carolina, where he completed his residency training in OB/GYN in 1982. He then returned to Greenville and joined Greenville OBGYN associates. He is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology.

Dr. Gower has served as president of the Greenville Memorial Hospital medical staff and been a board member of the American Red Cross, the Upstate History Museum and the United Way campaign. He volunteers at the Greenville free medical clinic and is an active member of Westminster Christian Church where he is a former elder. He serves as Vice Chairman for Quality in OB/GYN at Prisma Health and has served as interim department Chair. He enjoys hiking, biking, occasionally golf, reading and writing. He is married to Martha and is the proud father of four children and seven grandchildren.
