Roxana decided to delve into the world of nutrition to get to the bottom of what real nutrition is all about. With all the ad-pollution, confusion, and "noise" about diets, nutrition, and the like, she just wanted to know the truth. She attended the University of Illinois at Chicago for a B.S. in Human Nutrition and became a member of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.

Her training helps her appreciate how a healthy eating pattern can fuel the body, help it function right, and nourish our trillions of cells that constantly need to be maintained and replaced. This training gave her experience with a diverse population from pediatric patients to high-risk adults. It has also helped her to understand how nutrition can help at any stage of disease for a wide spectrum of diseases and conditions.

Her friends and family often hear her say "A healthy person is no accident." This is because she has seen it takes effort to achieve a healthy lifestyle. That is why her aim is to meet you where you are now and find the best plan tailored to your unique needs, goals, and lifestyle. She is here to share sound, science-based (and, in some cases, even personally-tested) advice and principles about nutrition and healthy eating. Her approach is to be as practical as possible and to help each client prepare for and succeed in overcoming the many challenges that appear along the way.

The 2.5 years she spent volunteering in Romania helped her develop a keen, enriched sense of cultural sensitivity. (It also gave her pleasant memories of gardening various fruits, vegetables, herbs, and crops with her grandmother, who lives in the Northern region of Transylvania).

Nutrition aside, Roxana enjoys sipping tea, reading, admiring nature, playing several of her favorite instruments (violin, piano, guitar, and drums), seeing live music, exploring new restaurants and cuisines in the world-class city she grew up in (Chicago), participating in a global educational volunteer work, and traveling to her favorite national parks and mountains for a great hike or a great snowboarding session with her dear friends and family.
