Roxanne Mody, MD, FACOG, is an OBGYN at Southeast Georgia Physician Associates-Obstetrics & Gynecology. She sees patients in St. Marys, Georgia.
Not many people can say they have scaled Mount Kilimanjaro. Dr Mody is among them. She recalls the final summit push. “We started hiking at midnight and could only see little white lights; we couldn’t tell if they were stars or other hiker’s headlamps. We had to trust the process, put one foot in front of the other and see the big picture.”
Her description sounds like a metaphor for womanhood. Whether a woman is navigating pregnancy, infertility, menopause or an abnormal pap smear, her health journey can sometimes feel like an uphill climb.
