We are proud to offer a wide range of veterinary services for pets in the following areas:

PREVENTATIVE MEDICINE & WELLNESS CARE:
We recommend an annual examination for pets up to age 7, and twice per year for those over age 7. Meanwhile, our wellness programs are specifically catered to your pet and includes an annual or semi-annual physical exam, along with internal parasite testing, heartworm and flea control, and vaccination programs.

COMPREHENSIVE PUPPY & KITTEN CARE:
The first few years of your pets’ lives are vitally important, and at Livonia Veterinary Hospital, we recognize the importance of getting off on the right paw in life. Our doctors and staff help educate new owners on topics such as preventative care, immunizations, and socialization issues.

INTERNAL MEDICINE:
At Livonia Veterinary Hospital, we have a wealth of knowledge and experience in internal medicine. From cardiology, to endocrinology, ophthalmology, and more, our team can quickly diagnose what’s ailing your sick or injured pet and take steps toward the healing process.

SURGERY:
In order to provide your pets with the highest quality of care, we maintain a state-of-the-art facility and stay current on the latest techniques and practices, while using the best medications and anesthesia.

DENTISTRY:
Studies have shown that dental care directly correlates to the well-being of other systems in the body. So, keeping your pets’ mouths and teeth clean can help them immensely in the long run. We recommend annual dental exams and use digital dental X-Rays.

PHARMACY:
Our on-site pharmacy is well-supplied with a complete inventory of vitamins, shampoos, flea and tick control products, heartworm medicines, and more. We will provide you with the information you need to understand your pet’s prescription so he or she can start treatment immediately.

LABORATORY DIAGNOSTIC:
Having an on-site laboratory allows us provide serum chemistry, hematology, EKG, blood pressure testing, urinalysis and parasite testing services. For biopsies and histopathologies we use a commercial veterinary lab.

BOARDING:
If you can’t take your pet with you on vacation or if you need to make last minute arrangements, we offer boarding services. Our facility is clean and climate-controlled and veterinary supervised. Our friendly staff walks each dog so your pet has lots of interaction with people!

MICROCHIP IMPLANTATION:
A microchip implantation is handy when your pet escapes or gets lost and is returned to a vet clinic or animal shelter. Your pet’s microchip will be scanned to reveal their ID number, which will then be called into a pet recovery system. We use Home Again and will notify you if your pet has been found.

HOUSE CALL SERVICES:
Some pets are unable to make it into our office, but don’t fret! We can come to you to perform annual examinations, any vaccinations, and have blood drawn for lab work.

NUTRITION & DIET:
We offer a wide variety of prescription diets for your pets’ healthcare and nutritional needs.

EMERGENCIES:
Our staff and doctors deliver emergency and urgent care during regular business hours. If your pet is in need of immediate attention, you may bring your pet in right away.
