About us

Ryan J. MacNevin, MD, FACC, is a cardiologist with Prisma Health Cardiology and a clinical assistant professor at the University of South Carolina School of Medicine. Dr. MacNevin earned his undergraduate degree at Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island, and his medical degree at the University of Maryland School of Medicine in Baltimore. He completed his internship and residency in internal medicine at Brown University/Rhode Island Hospital, and completed a fellowship in cardiology at Cooper University Hospital in Camden, New Jersey. Dr. MacNevin is board certified in cardiovascular disease, echocardiography, cardiac CT/CTA and nuclear cardiology. He currently serves as medical director of Echocardiography at Prisma Health Midlands-USC School of Medicine. He specializes in non-invasive cardiovascular disease and has an interest in new applications of advanced cardiovascular imaging for the treatment and prevention of heart disease.
