San Diego Comprehensive Treatment Center (CTC) is located in San Diego, California, and provides adults age 18 and older with medication-assisted treatment (MAT) for opioid use disorder. Opioid use disorder is the clinical term for an addiction to heroin, prescription painkillers, or other opioids. MAT at San Diego CTC involves the use of a prescription medication such as buprenorphine, methadone, Suboxone, or naltrexone to help reduce the severity of opioid withdrawal symptoms and improve patient outcomes. Adults who take part in MAT at San Diego CTC also benefit from customized counseling in the form of individual and group therapy sessions, which can give them the resources they need to prepare for long-term recovery.
