Dr. Schmitz specializes in obstetrics and gynecology for Johns Hopkins All Children's Hospital in St. Petersburg, Florida, where she joined the medical staff in 2025. She previously was an OB/GYN physician in Sarasota. She is originally from Buffalo, N.Y., where she practiced for several years after residency.
Dr. Schmitz earned her medical degree from American University of the Caribbean in St. Maarten. She completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Monmouth Medical Center in Long Branch, New Jersey, where she served as chief resident and earned the Robert J. LaMagra Award, recognizing exceptional empathy and compassion for her patients.
Her clinical interests include minimally invasive robotic surgery, menopause management and infertility.
