About us
Shailesh Malla, M.D. earned his medical degree from Tribhuyan University Institute of Medicine, the premier medical school in Nepal. He completed his residency in internal medicine at Jacobi Medical Center and his fellowship in cardiovascular disease at Montefiore Medical Center in the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in Bronx, New York. Board certified in Cardiovascular Disease (ABIM), Nuclear Cardiology (CBNC) and Echocardiography (NBE), Dr. Malla brings over 10 years of experience to Piedmont Heart. Prior to joining Piedmont Heart, Dr. Malla was a clinical cardiologist with ACG. Dr. Malla is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology who specializes in invasive cardiology, general and consultative cardiology, trans-thoracic and transesophogeal echocardiography, nuclear stress testing and diagnostic cardiac catheterization. He is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology and a member of the American College of Physicians. He has been involved in several research projects in the areas of congestive heart failure and echocardiography and has published several articles in scientific journals. He is an instructor for ACLS as well. Dr. Malla is accepting new patients and welcomes most major insurance plans.
