About us
Shameeka’s passion has always been mental health. She is dual certified as a family nurse practitioner and psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner. She enjoys interacting with her patients and feels the therapeutic relationship is pivotal in the mental health journey. She utilizes an integrative approach for holistic healing. In addition to medication management, her methods include cognitive behavioral therapy to assist patients in becoming the best version of themselves ever imagined. She believes the patient is the most important person in the care team and engages in shared decision-making. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her teenage daughter, trying new foods, and traveling to new places.
