About us

Shanker Polsani, M.D., earned his medical degree from Kakatiya Medical College in India. He completed his residency at Louis A. Weiss Memorial Hospital followed by fellowship in Medical Oncology and Hematology at Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University. He is board certified in Internal Medicine, Medical Oncology and Hematology. Prior to joining Piedmont, Dr. Polsani was Chief Fellow of Hematology and Medical Oncology at Brody School of Medicine and has worked as an Assistant Professor in the Section of Hospital Medicine at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston Salem, NC. Dr. Polsani specializes in Medical Oncology and Hematology. Dr. Polsani has a special interest in GI, Thoracic Oncology and Classical Hematology. In his spare time, Dr. Polsani enjoys spending time with his family and friends. He enjoys playing tennis. Dr. Polsani is accepting new patients and welcomes most major insurance plans.
