About us
Hello, my name is Shawn Sussmane, and I am an assistant professor in the University of Florida Department of Ophthalmology. Some of my clinical interests include specialty contact lenses, dry eyes and cataracts. Originally from Florida, I moved to Tennessee as a teenager and completed my schooling there. I attended the Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, Tennessee and completed my externship at Eyecare Associates in Metairie, Louisiana. Since graduation, I have been working in private practice. Before working at UF, I worked in a multispecialty Ophthalmology/Optometry group practice.
