About us
Siobhan Proksell, MD is an Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Division of Digestive Health and Liver Diseases at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine (UMMSM). She earned her medical degree from UMMSM and completed her residency and fellowship at the University of Pittsburgh, where she later joined the faculty. She eventually returned to UMMSM to contribute her expertise to both the medical school and the Crohn's and Colitis Clinic. A specialist in inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), Dr Proksell's clinical interest lies particularly in IBD during pregnancy, providing care and advancing research in this critical area. Her academic passion is medical education, and she plays a key role in shaping future physicians.
