Spirit of Truth Ministries was founded in 1994 by Apostles Alfonso and Cynthia Steele, after much fasting, prayer and obedience. What once began as a street ministry with in-home meetings, eventually turned into a Church ministry headquarters with the name “Solid Rock Christian Center”, which has been awarded the “Keys to the City” of Spokane, and remained known as “Solid Rock Christian Center” for 23 1/2 years, until just recently. “Spirit of Truth Ministries” is a ministry operating under the oversight of Spirit of Truth Apostolic Network (STAN). We are an Apostolic and Prophetic house that love people, love to pray and welcome all to come to Him (Jesus) just as you are.
Our Purpose is to: “Love the Lord our God with all our hearts, all our souls, all our strength and all our minds, and love our neighbors as we love ourselves” (Bible).
Our Mission is: “Equipping the saints for the work of the ministry, who through their God-given gifts, transform their communities and the nations of the world with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
Our Vision is: “To reach individuals in Spokane and equip them to become active, mature believers in Jesus Christ.
Wednesday night Bible Studies are at 7pm. It’s a very open and interactive setting. We believe we all have something we can learn from one another.
Corporate Prayer is on Thursday Evenings at 7pm.
Sunday Morning worship begins at 11am. Worship is mostly contemporary (you tube songs with lyrics displayed and 2 singers) though we have instruments in place for those who would like to become members and join the Praise and Worship team. We worship Him in Spirit and in Truth. There is freedom of expression of (Godly) worship in this place. Coffee, tea and hot chocolate are provided on Sunday Mornings.
We record all our services in both DVD and CD format, and now have the ability to transfer old audio cassette recordings of the Church’s services into CD’s. Further information will be provided upon request.
