Southern Indiana Rehab Hospital, located in New Albany, Ind., is an acute rehabilitation hospital providing medical services for adults and children with injuries, illness or disabilities. The more than 60-bed inpatient facility combines traditional physical, occupational and speech therapies with rehabilitative nursing and advanced technologies to improve the functional abilities of patients. SIRH provides inpatient, outpatient and contract services to residents throughout southern Indiana and Louisville, Ky. The hospital features Independence Square which recreates community settings, such as a grocery store and bank for patients to relearn functional skills for daily tasks, including shopping, banking, and getting in and out of a car. SIRH is licensed by the state of Indiana and is accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations.
