Stephanie Sasha de la Guarda, D.O., is a board-certified family medicine physician at Baptist Health Primary Care. She specializes in providing patients with holistic and individualized care that considers contributing factors such as mental state, culture, environment and access to healthcare. Her clinical interests include preventive care, lifestyle medicine and mental health. Dr. de la Guarda earned her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree at Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine in Blacksburg, Va. She completed a family medicine residency at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, where she served as chief resident.   In her practice, Dr. de la Guarda develops quality and longstanding relationships with her patients by providing a listening ear to determine their health priorities. She strives to empower patients to reach their individual health goals by giving them the necessary information, tools and guidance.   Dr. de la Guarda is fluent in English and Spanish. As a lifelong runner and athlete, she is passionate about maintaining an active lifestyle and chooses exercises and activities that bring her joy. She also enjoys cooking her mom's recipes and trying new restaurants.
